OUR FUTURE FIBERS

Our Future - EFB Fibers

Malaysia generated approximately 17 to 18 million tons of empty fruit bunches annually from oil palm factories.

Our Future - EFB Fibers Manufacturing

Malaysian institutions have carried out comprehensive research on transforming oil palm empty fruit bunches into fibers. By capitalizing on Fibersmith's expertise and collaborating with these institutions, the conversion process of these fibers can be made cost-effective.

Our Future - Automatic After-Treatment Line

Fibersmith, leveraging its expertise, is poised to introduce a new production system for the After-Treatment line. This system will enable high-speed robotic production, thereby reducing manufacturing costs. Consequently, the packaging will become cost-competitive when compared to other plastic and paper packaging options.

Our Future - Moulded Fibers Products

Molded EFB fiber products are anticipated to be strong competitors, potentially replacing plastic and paper products due to their superior environmental profile and cost-effectiveness.
